# 20241221 - QRP Power?  Do you need 100W?

Experimenting with the Chineesium HF Rig today... here is the setup:

20M @ 2.8W out of the tuner SWR=1.17

10M @ 1.4W out of the tuner SWR=1.2 on a not so greatly tuned 20M antenna.

USB to PC running WSJT-X for FT8 ops.

Today was mostly FT8, but I did make a couple SSB phone contacts, farthest was to NC @ 462mi with a 5-6 report.

Contacts going east using less than 3 watts:

Amazing contacts going west using 3 watts!

ZL3TX was in New Zealand, a total of 8302mi (13361km) from point to point!!!

I am also on day 2 running off of the same charge on my 6AH battery - Going QRP is efficient on batteries.
